At Sport Savvy Ltd, our Football Development Sessions are designed to provide an inclusive, engaging and structured environment where young players can learn, develop and most importantly enjoy the game.

Session Overview

Our sessions are carefully tailored to meet the needs of children aged 5–11, ensuring activities are age-appropriate, progressive and centred around long-term player development.

Each session typically includes:

⚽ Warm-Up & Ball Familiarisation (15 mins)

Fun movement-based games

Coordination and agility activities

Individual ball mastery exercises

Confidence-building through repetition and creativity

⚽ Technical Skill Development (15 mins)

Players work on core football techniques such as:

Dribbling and ball control

Passing and receiving

Shooting technique

1v1 attacking and defending

Activities are delivered through small-sided challenges and engaging practices to maximise touches on the ball.

⚽ Small-Sided Games (20-25 mins)

Children apply their skills in:

3v3, 4v4 or 5v5 game formats

Conditioned games to encourage teamwork and decision-making

Equal playing time to ensure development and enjoyment

⚽ Cool Down & Reflection (5 mins)

Light stretching

Team discussion and positive feedback

Celebration of effort, improvement and teamwork
